For Example..

Trying to get in the Christmas spirit still.. And so far, the dog has not jerked the tree off the table.. Had to scale back on tree size as little bastard is fascinated with the very thing you want him to leave alone.. He hasn't been able to get to it, well, not really.. However, he has learned that if you leave and forget to surround the table with bar stools (see how much trouble this is?), he can jump and pull needles off the tree.. Did I mention this year's tree was artificial? He has also managed to cause a row of lights to go out.. The thing I don't understand is that they are supposed to have parallel circuitry.. Serious string-o-lights fail...
Daughter has been a handful.. I know with Christmas coming, all kids are a little wound up.. But she has been more than distracted.. With a little smart-ass/whiny thing thrown in.. Had a Come to Jesus meeting with her this afternoon.. And it seems to have helped.. For now... :)
Work has been as busy as can be.. Got a designerette making my life hell.. Decide, implement, change, decide, implement, change.. She's got to get a grip.. I have enough to keep me busy without her crazy-ass whims.. Worse thing is that I bent over backwards this week to get something done she absolutely had to have, only to have it 86'd 4 hours later..
The week began with a bang.. The Agnostic had chest pains at work.. So intense that someone called 911 and they ended up taking him to the hospital.. Who ended up keeping him for two nights.. All tests there were negative.. They suggested that he have a stress test.. That's scheduled for the week before Christmas.. Bet those results aren't available until the first of the year.. :):)
Oh, and the job for which I interviewed before Thanksgiving? Got a lovely letter on how over-qualified I was.. No shit, sunshine.. I want a fucking job back home and was willing to settle for that crappy one!! damn...
Upside - This time, two weeks from now, I'll be back home for a while.. Will see the Agnostic and I have two dates scheduled.. Here's hoping I get to break my own rule!! Plus, getting cousin to cut my hair.. He's rather popular and very, very good.. He has to fix the last one I got.. Apparently, if you don't get the 'looks like a cow licked the back of your head' haircut here, it's a crapshoot on what you walk away with.. :)
Now, to help DD finish her 'homemade' Christmas gift and get all the other school/babysitter gifts together... Otherwise, I'm just gonna clean house and relax....
Oh, and one damn trip to The House That Sam Built... :-)
